Elizabeth Boyne is the Rare Book Library Associate at Tulane University, where she performs collection management, reference, and outreach for the university’s collection of rare books. Prior to her work at Tulane, she worked in the conservation field, first as a conservation technician for the special collections of the Stanford University Libraries, and next as a conservation assistant at the New Orleans Book and Paper Lab and housing specialist at the National World War II Museum. Here she respectively performed complex conservation treatments on items from local heritage foundations, and established the first dedicated space for customized housing for the WWII Museum’s archives. She has been an active member of the New Orleans Preservation Coalition and has assisted with both their preservation curriculum development and creating access to digital preservation resources. She received her MLIS and MFA in Book Arts from the University of Iowa.
