Since 2007, Dr. Wick has served as the Special Collections Librarian and University Archivist at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Many of the archival research requests that he answers relate to institutional history, the industrial heritage of Pennsylvania, and the Rare Book Collection at IUP. One of the largest archival resources at IUP is the Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal Company Collection, which includes employment records, ledgers, mine maps, and drill log records dating back to 1881. This collection is often utilized by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and other state and regional agencies concerned with the environment. Dr. Wick has worked as an archivist and an academic librarian since 2002.  His research interests include the history of higher education, transportation and industrial history, logistics, and the American Civil War. He recently earned his doctorate in Administration and Leadership Studies, and has graduate degrees in history and library science.
