I've been a librarian since 1982, mostly in academic settings. At the moment I'm Curator of Special Collections & Rare Books at the University of Minnesota and the E. W. McDiarmid Curator of the Sherlock Holmes Collections (the largest such collection in the world). When not in a library or near books I like to be outdoors, with my family or friends, enjoying life.
